Just bought a Utiform Quattro (the one advertised on here not long ago) it seems ok but when you turn the gun off via the air, the machine stops as it should but when you turn it back on you have to press the power button on the machine.

Its not a major issue but I seems to me that it must be something that can be fixed, just wondered if anyone knows what it might be?

Could be a few things from a faulty switch or a blocked air hose.

It must run at the start when u first open the air right ?
Just only when u turn off then on again it let's u down yeah ?

I don't think the air lines blocked as it runs ok once you turn it on, it just doesn't fire back up under its own steam when you open up the air again, you have the press the button on the machine but then it sprays fine.

I'm not sure on the uti but I sounds like when your turning it off at the air its handing the power back to the machine if you need to press the power button at the machine end rather than just the air.

Are you switching your Genny off when u stop and than firing it up again?

The air switch is a small pressure switch with a rubber diaphragm that pushes the switch into on. Sometimes the air isn enough to push it far enough quick enough to switch. You can adjust the springs to set the switch. But I wouldn't advise it as a first option.

Best to get it looked at. Where are u based

I'm in Wigan there's a utiform dealer in Chorley I'm gonna go see him tomorrow about something else so ill ask him. It's not a major issue more of an inconvenience but if it's nothing major I'd rather get it sorted .

I didn't get over to see Ian today but used the machine today and it worked intermittently, cant be anything too serious i'll run it by Ian on Tuesday when I go and see him.
