Someone mentioned a few day ago they used multi/bonding (magic mix) to fill chases, just had a call to fill a few....do you need to top with a bit of multi orbdoes it finish ok?

No idea why it says mon (might be short for mong) meant mix

We often use "onecoat"......overfill the chase then cut back when it goes "cheesy"...pass a sponge over it, trowel it, watch it doesn't shrink back.
It works for me, and it's quick and easy.
I've also used a 50/50 zombiemix if there aren't many chases.....same as above.

Its a conservatory they put some new sockets in, not seen it yet
You have to ask for the land deeds and drawings to establish the age of the conservatory if it's anything over a day old you can't use bonding

Casting plaster all day long can fill and smooth off will look s**t if you don't know the gear though

If it's only a few you can easily get away with bonding skim mix or as we call it 50, half and half basically wait for it to pull in the give a good trowel to smooth, make sure it's not single skin or has any "damp" issues though as you could end up in problems later

I`m doing a rewire tomorrow and it`s getting magic mix then a wee lick of multi

Maybe put them fibres in it to keep the cracking down...

I did my full house rewire of chases yesterday just dubbed em all out with thick skim an bonding mix then went over em all with some fresh gear worked a treat
