Makita radio (with USB)

Anyone have any idea how to put a USB/iPod dock to charge my phone as its playing music trough the makita radio?

Basically the makita radio has a aux port so you can play music through it from you iphone/iPod, but the problem is it drains the battery loads so could do with a facility for charging the iPhone/iPod as well

As far as I know you can only charge as you play on the new makita radio LXRM03. Which has a docking station on the top of the radio. The old ones don't have a USB do they?

Doesn't come with one built in but seen one where someone has fitted one them selves, didn't know the newest one came with a dock gutted I've already bought mine :RpS_mad:

The old makita radio hasn't got a usb port , i just plug my phone into a standard mains charger then plug my phone into the radio .
Though the phone is quite happy to keep going for ten hours without the need for a charge any way.

A couple of people have said they listen to radio 2 now as moyles isn't on radio 1 anymore and don't get me started on that vigina that's taken over!!

i listened to radio 2 after moyles left for about 2 months but i couldnt put it with it any longer now i listen to radio 1 (even though i hate grimmy) or local radio which is full of adverts.

Moyles was ok but since the new lad?? There's no comp. radio 2 gives you great variety, bit of new, bit of old and a good debate to shout at!! And no ads!

Yeah I can't stand grimmy! Sounds like he has a cock in the mouth constantly! Listen to local radio till about 10 then back to radio 1, absulote radio is a good station plenty of variety but DAB or Internet only hence the need for iPhone.

Didn't buy the radio new second hand with impact driver and 4 li-ion batteries £250 bargain!
