I have just been asked to price a job up in the above and have never heard of it.

Has anyone used it ??? If so is it any good ???.

The job is an existing render where we were gonna go over it with sm700 and mesh and noblo but the customer wants a finer finish then the 1.5 noblo.

the spec for this is sm700 with mesh, then you go over that again with sm700 and mesh. I think this gets it even flatter.
Then its a coat of pico layed on and flattened and left to set and another coat of pico which is sponge finished. followed by a paint.
helluva spec

its like a coarse stucco. i bet with the right sponge and good timing u could get it as smooth as sand/cement
customer wont know difference unless he is right on the ball.
do him a sample

pico is less than a mm agregate we use 1mm fine on dryvit alot just done the same as any other but the prep needs to be bang on.
rich get some 1mm fine texture and do him a sample I will be surprised if he sill insists on pico as the 1mm is very fine and should sway him

the orange pore sponge will leave a base render like this more coarse than a sponged finish but ok for texturing over so if you did a panel and painted it you could be right on, easy job man

no mate only the sample of it, but like you say I cant see the point of it, I like a coloured rubbed up finish on cottages like but you can achieve it an easier way like you said there.

Wheres my spray texture samples hmn?

how would you colour the sm and would marmorit warrant it

i know Parex will mix their mate' in any colour you want (within reason, minimum quants), this can be smooth finished, so i would imagine marmorit would do the same with the sm, (well that is what the rep told me any how)

yeah marmarit sm700 pro is available in classic colours. it would be painted aswell i find mineral always blooms in a colour

jonny google joes ice cream. its the best in the world..Is it ?

pico is a o.6mm mineral topcoat. sounds like a right minge to do aswell

we use 1mm dryvit all the time rich, yeah its a little more tricky as in its not for rough fockers, your prep and your rubbing up need to be good it will show swirls up like theres no tomorrow and it time will show up like fook.
