Artex Boy
Had a mini meltdown today thanks to some mug on here. I read a comment saying how all these new trowels diverted him from his original ways or something.

I’ve been using the mediflex a lot and getting good results but am I really working less or maybe more?

I gave the old Mtown a blast today and god she felt good.. there’s something about that trowel.

It’s crazy how different the timings are with these two trowels. You really need it neat to start with using the mtown then leave it the f**k alone for quite some time.

Whereas then there bendy trowels you can get a lovely finish but are you playing with it too much?

Who am I? Hello? Help.

I don’t give a fook about wear and tear. Ask gps about my forearms. I ain’t scared of tennis elbow. If the bogey man was tennis elbow he would be checking his cupboards for me before he goes to bed. Bring on the pain. Marshaltown start to finish as of today

I think it was me that mentioned I buggared my routine trying nearly every trowel on the market. I’ve rediscovered my old technique but theres still a time and a place for the trowels I’ve collected, flex trowels great for curves and blending in patches. My spat is essential for big ceilings, it’s an important part of my collection but I don’t use it everyday. I’ve even got a sponge, I’ve tried virtually all of it but tend to stick to my best combination of my skimming trowel and a plastic for a final.

Glad you did as it made me do some thinking.

Hate the thought of having different trowels for different things. 2 maximum. I keep trying the speedskim, sometimes it feels great but others it just pulls grit and drags and the noise makes me cringe.

I had same experience with speedskim mate, the key to all the new tools is finding a suitable time and place for each of them. Not trying to shoehorn all of it into one set.

Saw this on a job other day lol ...... disgusting
