just wondering what most of you would use to float and skim a membrane? am thinking a sand and cement mix first slurry flick on first to give key and scrach 3 to 1 flollowed by 4 t0 1 float, skim multi. or maybe carlite bond straight on to it with 1 coat, i hear its ideal cause the membrane has zero suction. they dont want it boarded so the easy option is out :-\ :-\

if its internal bonding would be your easiest option.. after boarding
s+c can be a pain on membrane, but doing what you said with the pricking up coat is the way round it, just very thin coats..

yes mate, thats the stuff op is on about..
its like stiff bubble wrap.. the bubbles designed to hold the mix and also form an air gap behind the membrane to allow water to drain down behind it..
it needs to go accross the floor too though and a sump is set into the floor which will automatically pump any water out when it reaches a certain level..
used for basement conversions..
not used in normal damp proofing spec...
