metal stud and board price

I know theirs been some stick thrown about chancers asking for advice on prices but this is me can any of you site boys tell me a fair pre crisis price for metal stud and two skins of board on flat bashing i know what i charge in Spain but would like a comparison.

not to sure about the metal stud but boarding is about £2.25 m2 for normal board and £2.50 for sound block
 
Around £3/3.50 for the stud and £1.50/2.00 for the boarding that depends on heights and type of board but double skinning you only tack the first skin then screw the second skin. The arse has fell out of metal stud coz you can train a chimp in a week.
 
good point before you go taking on tricky partition jobs it might be worth spending a few days with a plasterer first, theres plenty of good lads on here ;)
 
Job i was on last year tackers were getting £5 all in stud and board both sides and they were using blue heavy board so dont know what it would be like in this climate :-\
 
Thanks boys but i cant believe the prices you are quoting maybe ok for offices but not flat bashing ime getting £8m2 for 2skin soundblock the metal is on a linear price on 2.4 height which i cant renember at the moment but their are loads of other detail involving acoustics and loads of other agg but we are averaging £180 a day.In Spain the Spanish charge 14€ a metre for metal and one skin board and they dont drop the price in a recession.

i aint kiddin bod theres a lad on site labouring who used to be a tacker and he was offered 85p per sqm he did a house just partitions in 3 days with a lad and got 285 quid ..........the firm went into receivership so hopefully they were trying to claw it back not just pay these rates all the time

You are obviously not aware of the situation outside the U.K the rest of the world is also in crisis Spain being the worst hit in the eurozone with the highest unemployment and virtualy no construction industry left what is left the Spanish dont go undercutting each other but maintain the prices in fact my skip driver has put his prices up to make up for lost revenue as for me i just put up with the crap weather here at the moment and keep in regular work earning my 180s a day.

spuncky, thats what i was going to say, f back to spain, anyone who have given this chancer your price then you could be loosing work to him or anyone else who reads these posts, if he knows how much he charges in spain then he SHOULD know how much he can do in a day, all he has to do is find out material cost or if its labour only then he can price according to how much he wants to earn.
 
Ufortunately Besty i dont think you get it in this country on big work the company give you the price and you take it or leave it that was the point of my question.

so, if you dont like what they offered then dont do it, i do jobs from £150 upto 60k so i do know what it is like in this country, i have just priced a job where two of us were within 7k of each other , i was 75k but the 3rd quote was 28k les and they asked me to drop which i told them , no thanks so i do know wht it is like out there.
 
To right Simply, if two of you are fairly close and someone else less than half your price why would they think the lower price is nearer to the mark. I priced a one off house recently and the guy asked me to drop my price £800, I gave the same answer as you and he accepted my price anyway.
 
i know grand , very funny. i had a QS run it up for me and he was saying that it was a nightmare, it was an external job , 1400m2 of euroform board and mono plus m2 of blockwork, on the boarding alone theres over 30k of materails. Then theres the fixing and adhisive work, those boards have to be pre drilled and cut with a diamond cutter.
