hi,fellas,whats the crack with this,is it expensive to have it done? say a 8m2 ceiling,how long should it take & cost? cheers

Its not expensive mate an 8 square metre ceiling should only take about an hour to put up. Then board and skim

8m2 ceiling would be done in a few hours.

cost is a tough one if its only a 8 m2 ceiling you'll have to pay for the day plus materials so at a guess £300

it's easier than timber and far more accurate.
a laser level is worth using if you have one.
Don't bother with mf clips (a box cost alot) unless you can get a handful,you can just screw mf to primary support channel.

Oh me.
Sorry maybe didn't give the full story so i'll shead a little more light.
Though the bulk of my work has been jointing,i've still been doing a bit of most sides of drylining,
as well as skimming,some fibrous and occasionally floating.
So the floating is a bit on the weak side as never done more than a room at a time and never on a price so i'm s**t and tend to aviod if i can.
