Will be extending the back of my house shortly, so on one of the walls that will be coming out i mocked up a sample panel to have a go at a bit of Mono. Only a small panel and nothing special as this is the first time i have used this kit and didn't really know what to expect with it.

Quite pleased with the outcome and found the process straight forward to do, however i think i maybe jumped on it a bit to early.I Did the old thumb & nail test but wasn't sure how much pressure i should have been applying ?? Still you live and learn.

Cheers pal, its the unknown really, used of s&c all theses years and never wanted to take the plunge, didnt want to pay for a one day course, so had a play in the end. Nice stuff to use, gaggin to do some more now.

It looks as good as anyones .put them pictures on a flyer start advertising.that's what am goin to do once I've finished my first mono job.I've seen some terrible jobs so its all down to confidence and timing I even done the course .

looks nice, when you start laying on a large area the main thing to watch is the joint line, make sure you have gear knocked up on each lift as you dont want to have half the wall laid on and then have to mix some gear, make sure the labourer is in front of you with fresh gear. I would say this is the best time of year to start as you will be scraping back the same day which means you have a little control over the gear.
