Out of curiosity how many people that work in domestic currently have a labourer?

Not had 1 for about 2 yrs now and not realy in a position to take anyone on but f**K me am i starting to struggle! just feel like every day is an epic! dont know if im just a pussy but constantly knackered and just cant get motivated!

Not to bad if its a 1 gauge day...but 2 gauge days just seem to kill me its like starting the day twice if you get what i mean!

Left a ceiling last wk that i just wasnt happy with everything inside me said you should stick another coat on take pride in your work bla bla bla etc but i just physicaly couldnt face doing it again!

Anyone else get like this or have any tips?

im the same few weeks ago ad gone round on a friday afternoon preped the room out set up for the sat got there knocked up first hit on and dun quick cuppa threw the second hit on then it just hit me and was shattered
but also the house was boiling hot witch did not help

Aye, i can feel the same sometimes. Well, most times lol. It's all in the mind. Once you get the mindset of oh, i can't be fukin arsed with this today, then you're on the slippery slope. A positive attitude is what's required. Positivity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excuse me whilst i go and slash my wrists now :RpS_laugh:

Your not alone lads.same money as 6 years ago minus a labourer.working for the same maggots .I've even knocked the ale on the head and me team haven't won the prem in 20 odd years .I reckon me bird goin to leave me lol.

I have felt like this for months now .... no get up and go at all, Im good at securing the work and giving it the usual b*ll***s but when it comes to doing it I just cant be bothered and most days leave at 2-3 pm

lol the older i get the less hours per day i ant to work. 5 hours is my average these days. That way you don't get too peed aff!! Also treat myself to frequent days off and if the weather is gash i go to the pics.

Does get like that sometimes, I generally try to be done by about 3 also, lose interest after that! and I know what you mean about the two sets feels like your starting all over again, every time I think "I have to knock this bucket up, lay it on the wall, trowel it up, 4 more ******* times before I even go home" makes me go mental, its best not to even think about what Lays ahead, just get on with it!

you lazy fcukers this is my first day off in 3 weeks and ive just ripped up the patio at the end of my garden dug the soil over and am gonna start growing veg

I think we all go through it for what ever reason in our lives. I think it more of a mental thing . We can all get pissed off with plastering from time to time.

It could also be to do with the shite prices we have at the moment . "We work to live Not live for work " thats the balance we have to find for our selves.

i feel like this everyday on the second hit mostly but also wen the alarm goes off:RpS_laugh:

PHEW!!!......Thank f**k for that i was begining to think it wa just me!!!!!!!! sounds sad as f**K i know but think its the lonelynes for me its alot easier to graft when you turn around and see someone else doing a bit and can start slaggen em just for fun etc!

Oh well guess it aint guna change for a long time so case of just getting on wiv it!

Been ratling my head on how to just put 1 big set on a day was considering trying that knauf 1 coat as heard you can chuck a bit on in 1 go!....can kind of cope with all the build up to a set then clean down etc but that 2nd gauge F**K me its a killer specialy if its to finish off so then full tool down and clear up!

Soz for downer thread chaps!!!!!

All young plants will turn towards the light, so just rotate the tray so they're facing the room. Putting them out during the day is good spunkster, just remember to bring them back inside overnight. Collect loads of 2 litre platic bottles and cut them in half, they are good for popping over the top of new plants when you set them into their growing positions in the garden. You're in bristol area aren't ya, should be warm enough down your way now. And do a google for growing veg and yer away:RpS_thumbup:

An average Monday for me is as follows:

wake up about 8ish leave house about 8:30 slow drive to mcdonalds,
pick up a double sos n egg muffin with 2 hash browns & if I'm feeling healthy I'll have an orange juice.
Eat food on way to job, stop at shop for daily star/sport quick glance at page 3 then throw onto dash for later Reading/looking at pics.
Get to job about 9:15-9:30 walk in put radio on have a cup of tea outta flask & I decide what I'm gonna do.
Then get sheets & tools outta van by now it's 10:15 so just time
for a quick packet of prawn cocktail crisps & a mars bar & swill down with tea.
Quick few phone calls to see how my mates weekends went etc...
Then it's about 11:15!
Right do an hours work then it's 12:15-12:30 LUNCHTIME!!
So off to chippy or if I'm on a health kick it's just a bag of cheese & onion crisps a twix or bounty then 2 cups of tea with half a packet of chocolate digestives.
So now it's 1:30 quick phone call to a few peeps see what the crack is.
Then do another hours work then by then it 3pm & I've had enough!!
Clean up & tools & sheets in the van then just in time to drool at the yummy mummys on the drive home.
Quick stop at offy then straight home for a big meal after a hard days graft!!
