Hi everyone

recently moved back to the UK from Canada after 9 years, learned plastering or rather jointing over there. Did a couple of hundred jobs. Process for new boards was bond coat and then 2 coats of finish, sand prime and paint. Whole process took around 3 days, also did some skimming of old plaster etc. Looking for advice on especially new board jobs here, what is the standard process? Builders I’m looking at jobs for suggest one coat only over new boards, not sure if this is standard and just wanted to make sure before I get started.
Thanks!
