on a job at the moment spraying mp75 where about a third of the way through the job in total about 3,500m2 just wondering how you lads have found it that is if you have come across it before we've bin there 15 working days and just got the hang of it now . where getting 5.50 a metre do you think that's about right for commercial work .
cheers lads whats your thoughts

grand have you done much of it and how do you find it second spray is a nightmare cos we have to be off job by 5 at latest

kev, me and monkey have been doing it for the last 5 weeks, i have done a fair bit before. with the second spray you need to get it on by about 12. by this point the first spray is waiting for the final trowel so one of you gives it the final while the other 2 start spraying. we have even sprayed and while waiting after the first rule we give the first spray a second trowel. also it pays to chuck on a big first spray and a smaller second. you can also give it a hard trowel next morning while there setting up the machine and spraying the first area. where are you doing that for, im pricing up about 10,000m2 so we could be looking for good subbies who can do a nice job with it.

you dont need it as simps says get it on early and get the sponge float on a pole better than those silly wickes things havent done it for awhile we used to spray 100m2 as first hit then pick some walls in a corridor for next nothing with angles so you could get it under with no messing about

sorry for not replying spunky but bin away for weekend where spraying anywhere between 70 and 80 meters a day where hoping to up it to 100 meters now that where used to it . its all about timing and dont take the fat off after sponging you have to trowel it into the wall. forgot to say there is only 2 of us looking for decent third man just labourer will do or a kid to train up .

A fella I used to work for just finished the new Ikea in southampton, 35,000sqm. He s good with the machines, just a shame he s a to$$er

never had the opportunity to do any machine plastering even when having worked for the bigger firms in my area.
even when doing k-rend/monocoche is was hand applied.
do you guys work away alot or just travel everyday when spray plastering.

come on then spunky you can make the 3 man machine team up thats if you can stick to the 6 o,clovk starts ha ha
