Started using blue grit on a job today and it was making the paint peel off , it was on a newish house well 20-30 year old been skimmed didnt seem to have had a mist coat of paint any ideas ?? Havnt used the stuff before part from abit that had already been dun by sum one else

Think positive , at least your not half way through the set and it's all falling on the floor :cry::cry:....s**t happens, scrape it all off and start again, or just over board it less hassle and you no you won't have any come backs.

Paint has not bonded to skim, probably undulated. Happens with pva on paint sometimes.blue grit will just sit damp for whenever the warmth of room drys it.24 hrs or less.

If you don't understand the basics of why the grit is making the paint peel off you should be ringing the head honcho that taught you on your course
