Mtec 200

#1
Hi. We have been using a m tec 200 for nearly two years now. Had some technical problems with water fluctuations and have exhausted every avenue trying to sort the problem. Has anyone else had problems with there’s? Would be interested to know if we have a faulty machine or if it’s the Mtec 200 itself. When it runs well it’s excellent and makes us a lot of money. But when it plays up it has cost us a lot of money. Has anyone else had these problems??

I believe Dave is visiting you Monday/Tuesday to help on site mate

Machine was tested when you came back yesterday. Confident in saying it’s not a faulty machine

Do you have any problems with your G4? You have had it for years now. Only seem to hear of Ritmo’s and M200’s having bother.

Yeah I think he is, my brother is dealing with it. I just wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced these problems as I need to get to the bottom of it. It’s having a detrimental effect on business and unfortunately ruining us at the moment. We have had the machine running sweet in the past. We know how to run the thing. Just don’t know what’s going wrong.

I don't have any trouble with my ritmo. And if there is. It's me that did something stupid not the machine tbh.

These little mixer pumps do a lot of work so it takes it's toll on them, the wear parts need replacing, ie bottom wear plate that holds R&S at correct level so it can do the job it was intended for without struggling, which will maintain a constant mix and nice spray, a R&S is like a salami! If you treat it correctly it gives you much more.

What would you prefer a main dealer to say if it was actually user error? Charge him for parts that wouldn’t be required?

There is lots of help on forums and chat groups now, but sadly, not all the help is relevant and is often guess work

Consistent water supply at a mixing chamber at correct pressure, consistent powder supply, constant speed, reliable evacuation of mixed material = good mixer pump to spray with, any make or model. Hoses on scaffold can be a nightmare though, rain soaked walls, and clients expectations along with ladies colour choosing process. It's a f**k**g mine field keeping everyone happy Ryan, I get it buddy.

You’re right, very difficult keeping everyone happy mate. But we have to try.

I always say, the main common variables that can cause an issue with machines

1. Water
2. Power
3. Air
4. Operator

Most often, it’s a very simple thing through setup of the machine

It’s just coming out wet every so often and running down the wall. To the point where it’s unusable. We have used it for two years and this has happened before. We put it down to the pump wearing. we have just replaced a fairly new one with a brand new one because this was happening and it’s still happening with the new one. We are confident with the setting up and running of the machine and have done a lot of houses without any struggle. We just can’t work out what’s going wrong now.

Is that water pump blue ? Tbh I’ve got a ritmo but this blue pump I have has been f**k**g up for the last six months sometimes it works some times jack s**t
This week it just stopped altogether
Ended up hand applying gable end today cus of it

That’s happening either when you put the gun down for too long or the distance is too much for the machine and can’t push the gear on time as the water flows anyway. If I am right is called back pressure. With other words- it’s not up to the task.

Was it the water pump in the end ?
