Just wanted to post a bit about my builder as I know some are not a fan...work started to slow down a bit so thought id sign up....i went for every lead in my area and the first weeks bill was £96. the business from these leads are two full house reskims, a 4m x 4m bedroom walls and ceiling....board and skim of a kitchen ceiling and the patch and skim of a single wall....to be honest after a bit of first hand experience I think people should sign up....i signed up nearly 6k of business in a week with no feedback.....if anyone is slow on business more than worth a try...you never know it might surprise you....i actually noticed a familiar face on there :)

That's good but now the public are using rated people at same time when posting there job ,it can be a bit cut throat but works work in the end as long as u get good profit, there's been other postings on my builder experience a while ago

Yeah there was other posting but on the negative side, just wanted to mention there is a positive, I also have been putting extra 10% on quotes to cover fees and still people seem happy with prices and not had any haggling so far.
 
A painter I do a lot of work for gets me a good amount of plastering work via my builder.

Its 50/50 on there, the people that use it 9 times out of 10 have zero clue about the 'otherside' and are soft handed 9-5 types so they eather think your having them over or your a hero.

Cant complain about it had a few messers but also a few decent jobs for nice people.

Yeah I went on a couple of quotes that were bad, when I explained the process to one woman she asked how much would it save if I didnt use those beads id mentioned....i didnt get that one....but generally so far most are reasonable and just want you to explain it a bit.

Maybe you lack people skills...i booked nearly 6 weeks of work in a week:)
 
I was getting jobs like skim a living room for £100 how the f**k has that got anything to do with people skills?

I got a bedroom skim walls and ceiling 10ft x 10ft £400 and she thought I was the best thing since sliced bread.

I wasn't having a dig mate honestly I was being serious what you gonna do if more comes in? Seems a lot of work for a newby (not a dig).

If your saying that then clearly you have never used mybuilder, it's not just people skills it's being able to sell aswell
