need help,Skimming over damaged drywall

Hi, all.

I have started removing the old wallpaper to find that it was drywall rather than a skimmed wall.

Now the problem is quite a bit of the paper from the plaster board is damaged and uneven.

Is it possible to just get someone to re skim the walls even though the paper is damaged or is there anything else that needs to be done.

I have considered papering it but I think there would be just as much work trying to fill some damaged parts to get a smooth finish.

Just skim over the drywall with multi finish it will be fine

yup done this a few times.. people allways get me in for decoration and assume that taking wallpaper off will be fine! its never fine lol
