for my Dewalt 12v drywall screwy any tips on the best place to get em without them takin me eyes oot??
Danke............:RpS_biggrin:

There is a way to 'refresh' some batteries via a car battery + jump leads or if feeling adventurous - a welder!
Do a search on YouTube, some scheming people on fleabay advertise a link for dosh but search it yourself for free.
Not tried it myself though but need some batteries for our drill (14.4v). Tool fairs are quite good if you offer cash if they knock the price down as the pdq's are always very slow at these events. Only books we have at the min are ITS London ltd who do offers on batteries etc. might be worth a look.

Av looked on ebay but they arent dewalt batteries and not sure what the dodgy makes are like

Done that car battery trick on my 12 and 14 v dewalt batteries and it worked, put them back to near new for about the 6 months solid that they were used for afterwards. It was a very old combi drill and drywall gun but if you don't use them for a bit (weeks) they go back to how they are. Not bad for free tho.

Did you just give it a quick zap with the car battery or did you leave it to charge for a while sedo??

Don't remember to much of what we did but it was just a zap and it then test the battery if it doesn't work re zap and a test again, pretty simple really but you do have to take the battery case off, we followed a YouTube video for it and I remember the guy saying it only works on ni cad and some others, basically it won't work on your lithium gear.
