Was holding off for ages buying a Nela. Had been using Marshall town 14inch.
F*ck me, the difference is superb, light weight, good grip and so so easy to use.
Gives a top finish.
Wish I bought it sooner.
So anyone out there thinking of getting one, you won't go wrong.

love my nela but found it easy to get bends in it. may try mediflex next. great trowls though just to flick over with, makes it all look so uniformed. plus i probably relied on it a bit too much a few months ago when my elbow was bad but took the edge off (y)

All good finishes are down to the holder of the trowel not just the trowel
Tbh I could finish with a sauce pan

@Vincey what t shirt would you wear doing the saucepan challenge?? Tefal or some celeb chef type?? Like Hestons Hard ons or Gordon's Gonads or Jamie's Jizz mags??? o_O

Here's my last "job" @Vincey

Ripples are down to timing and the water you're using I'm using a super flex the only down side I see are they bring the aggregate to the surface apart from that I reckon they piss over Marshall towns a lot easier on you're elbows too

Yes i agree,elbows etc,,,
But i see some guys use it for full process and they think its a good finish.
Down to opinions same thing as uni,,,some like it,some don't.:sorprendido3:

You have to wear them in like any trowel and get a decent shape half the ones I looked at were all bent, they don't take long to wear in though I took a decent sized nick out by rubbing it on board

I always have a Falkniven diamond stone in my pocket.
I nick flexy trowels at least twice a week, and a couple of passes on the stone sorts it out.

My present s*p*r*lex 2 is 6 months old now and bent up at both ends.
It only has to run along a bead to put a nick in it or make the plaster scuff.
Bit of a liability really & slowly phasing it out in favour of the Mediflex ... a proper trowel.

I got a replacement s*p*r*lex and I rarely take it out the tool box. Think it's been out 3times or so since the summer. Use the medi instead, though some sets don't even use it either, MT from start to finish.
