Hey guys. Since I've been out the game these 2 names constantly pop up and see a lot of guys turning to these brands. I was always Marshaltown during my 9 years in the trade.

What's your opinion on them? what's the best? Is there another brand you prefer or do you stick with the good old Marshaltown?

Maybe mt is best way to go for you mate and buy a few of the other trowels see how you get on with them
There’s loads of threads on here you could browse through about them

Cheers for your response mate. I already have tools.. Ive been plastering for 9 years!

Sorry mate I read it wrong I thought said haven’t plastered for 9 years I’d get both
Tbh at one point I had 20 ish trowels but have narrowed it down to 6 now
Can never have enough imo
They’re all great

I think the pf speedskim is available now
Seen a video the other day with them advertised on so presumed can buy now

Ive mt xtralite for skimming, its a good trowel, light, nicely balanced. Nela premium for s and c work. Takes a while to get used to as its so hard and takes a bit of breaking in, but i like it, although would probably get a mt again next time, just coz it takes so long to wear them in. Nela mediflex and s*p*r*lex for finishing when i can he arsed. Many days just use the xtralite all way through. Only tried refina suoer but i prefer nela flex tbh.

Yes and no, I use it to flatten immediately then atleast once more as the gear firms up, then get on the MT for last couple of trowels. If you get timings right you can go quite far with it before getting the trowel out (use trowel round edges of course)

of course mate! I understand, thanks!

Instead of sf blade end of set , tbf I thought they better than sf i have a 600 and it’s worn in nice
How long did it take to wear in though? do u use instead of the 3rd trowel ,but any slight bumps it isn’t going take it out surely
As I remember were they like a plazzi blade
