Hi All,

Just thought I would break the ice and say "hello" before the multitude of questions hits the DIY section.

I'm not a complete novice, currently doing a part time course at tech college to learn the basics as we are trying to do up an old house and watching the pennies. I don't intend taking this up as a living, but perhaps the odd weekend job might stop the baliffs taking everything.

Been reading lots of advice already and can't wait to get started, like a greyhound in the traps waiting for the rabbit to sprint past...
