hiya lads hope your all well,
started up on my own finally & left the security job up in london. Come across a few jobs but got this new 1. its above a garage length is length 10m width 4.5m height 3.5m. Needs celotex insulation in rafters and then plasterboarding out then skimmed 2 coats. Got 2 velux openings and 1 door. Nice job to do and will be on my own. Would appreciate some advice. I do a 9hour day and working out a time scale for the job. Easy access no furniture as all empty. cheers guys thanks :-*

cant really answer it coz i dont know how quick you are but why not get someone to help on the boarding coz its 3.5 high which is a lot of messing about on your own. You will be surprised how much messing about is in the insulation are you supplying the gear?

Your a bit wrong there he only specialse in domestic work ;)

on your own its going to be quite tricky but i reckon 2 days 2 insulate and board. 2 days to board the walls. 2 days to skim it. could probably knock a day off if you really wanted to

10-12 days ish to cover ur self on ur own.
Not easy working at 3.5 on ur own, propbably advisablke to get some help with the lifting and board work then skimmit on ur own.

Buy a board lifter with the money you would have paid out for someone to help. You can get ones that go up to 5 metres.
