New plaster and now hairline cracks appearing everywhere!

We had a plasterer in and since it has dried we have hairline cracks appearing everywhere. Especially in the areas where we removed the old plaster back to brick as it was blown and a mess.

Really unhappy about this after we've paid alot of money for the room to be replastered.

Has anyone got an suggestions?

It's a mystery , especially as this never happened to all the personally recommended people who's work done you are familiar with

It’s just shrinkage. And if you reskim you can never guarantee no hairline cracks will appear.

this can happen to anyone. Just use a bit of filler. Some might even paint out. A good decorator wouldn’t bat an eye

-How long did you leave the S&C (or hardwall) before you plastered over the top?
