I just built a new website.
I still have my old site which is doing really well on google offering general building kithcnes bathrooms refits plastering painting etc etc,but thought i should get one just for plastering as i seem to be doing more and more plastering .
Feedback will be appreciated. Itsonly been live for 5 days now so wont appear in the search engines till the next updates in the coming weeks.Go straight to the url below

hi skimmin, was lookin at the new site and noticed your around the leicester area, i'm based in coventry and just wondered if you ever need a hand on bigger jobs?

Hi Steve.. most the time i work on my own nowdays as theres not a lot of the big stuff down here in leics. If anything comes up ill let you no mate.Email me ur mobile.

i wouldn't show the price for a 4x4 room. as every room is diffrent. could be 4x4 on the 100th floor in Scotland for all you know..

nice looking website you have there, nice layout too.maybe you should think about putting more pictures of your work on the website as people generally like to see some examplesof the work you do.

Looks good mate.

Just a little spelling mistake on ya homepage:

Construction of archways and dorrways

But i'm sure you'll sort it no probs,
we don't want the publik thinking us plastrerers can't spel ;)

will sort that out cheers nisus.Gonna start taking more photos of my work then ill put them on the site.
lost loads of pics when had to reinstall windows cus the missus was downloading porn and got a virus.
oasis...i know what your saying mate about putting the prices on the site been toying with the idea loads,i still might remove that.I removed it from my other site

At least when putting the price on the web you will prob get genuine callers , rather going pricing and not getting the client will already has a rough idea of price

Nice job Skimming, I'm with Oasis on the price thing. Also I'd probably have a picture of a room where the plaster is fully dry on the home page, not all customers will realise that the uneven colours are it drying out. A spread round my way has a little quote on his website that could look good on yours it's "a beautiful home starts with beautiful walls", catchy don't you think. My son threw my site together in a couple of days having seen yours has reminded me he promised to do a proper job when he had more time.

andy i've just been looking at the gallery on your website, how do you create that border around the windows on the rendering? looks impressive

Looks like a nice website.

How much work do you fellas get from your websites?

Ive got a friend that is doing one for me but he is so busy he is taking ages to do it.

The trouble is he is doing it for free so i cant give him a kick up the arse!!

nice site but i think i found a spelling mistake.Dorrways is spelt doorways.unless dorrways is reference to something I'm unaware of.I have just started to take some photos of my own work as I'm thinking of getting a website going myself.but do i have to fork out a lot of money to get one on line

Well set out website mate, but too many grammatical errors, which might appear trivial but are the sort of detail that higher end clients will notice. You don't use any apostrophes at all e.g. days work should be day's work. Incorrect use of capital letters e.g. 'P' every time you write plastering; Glass-like Plastered Walls. Also, some words missing in sentences e.g. 'is left in a clean and tidy after completion'. Spelling needs checking e.g. 'Leicesterhsire'. 'loughborough' spelt with a small 'l'. 'East midlands' - Midlands should be with a capital 'm'. I'd also revise the following: 'we also promise to leave your home almost as clean as we found it' - not really what Joe Public wants to hear!! Sounds harsh but I noticed it and I don't give a sh*t whether you can write good English or not ;D More importantly, there are other plasterers' websites out there that are gramatically faultless so don't set yourself apart from them for the sake of a thorough proof-reading.

I get about 20 -30 % my work from my other site, and most of that is plastering which is why i made a plastering only website.
Building the site is only the begining though mate, becuse you got a get your site in the top 5 of google else you wont get anything from it.
And to do that takes a lot of time getting oneway links from other websites and making changes every other week so google crawl the site more often.
it took me 6 months to get on the first page of google with other site and now im in the upper half for all my desired keywords.

im on page 1 for anythin that related to me.. and it took 2 weeks? plaster cheltenham theres me..
