Hi, folks.

I never thought I'd be interested in plaster until I bought an 1886 Victorian with incredible decorative plaster and stucco throughout. I'm thinking of becoming a bit of a hobbyist, trying my hand at basic medallions etc. Looking forward to learning.

Agree I’m similar I got over 37,000 photos in my phone most are just stuff I see buildings etc but I tend to notice stuff more now , there’s a building down the road from me was built in 1854 what a place big windows, quoins, lovely sandstone lintels, great to see, that one is in a bit of a sorry state but I would love to see it renovated

Buy yourself a copy of Millars, Plastering Plain and Decorative. It's as good a place as any to start.
