Antlearns

Hi all I'm.a bathroom fitter i usual get a plaster in for ceilings and any large walls but lately iv been trying to learn the basics and not getting bad result on to plaster board (already flat) I'm currently doing my own bathroom so thought I'd try experimenting.

Iv a a 2.5 x2.5m wall that's bare brick and keep seeing speed skim tutorials in my research.
What's your opinion for a beginer on these for quick relatively flat walls. A few light marks I'm happy to float with a brush and trowl I'm just looking a simplicity and speed for a begiiners use really.

Also would you suggest a bonding coat and skim or just save the hassle and board it make it flat to start.

Thanks in advance

but you want our advice to advise you how to do plastering,

so depriving one of our fellow spreads out of work,

am i missing something,

All depends on the age of the house and wall construction. One of the first things I discuss with clients on old houses is about insulating the walls. Loads of old cold miserable bathrooms out there. No point spending loads on fancy tiles and taps if it’s fooking freezing and condensation everywhere.
