I went to Norfolk for a week a couple of years ago and I was well impressed with the flint and peeble finishes to the buildings round there, is there anyone on here who does this type of work or anyone got any links to info on it?
yeah you dont do many jobs so you kind of have the first day remembering your set up but some lads still love it and like anythin else doing it all the time makes it look easy. I aint a fan really i prefer other finishes but it can be used as a feature sometimes on modern buildings say one wall behind a bar in and it looks ace there
heard a while back that essex county council was holding short courses in bygone crafts iam pretty sure there was one for flint work walls could be worth a look if your from that way
It is dying but still a call for it especialy on repairs, its normaly built against shuttering but some work to lines. You can buy concrete blocks with the flint embedded in them now but dosent quite look the same.
