Did 20m ceiling on Friday. Finished lovely. Used halogen to work with and was really happy with it. Was a simple overskim of existing plasted ceiling. House was only 7 yrs old so boards all sound. Nice and level. Used WBA as silk paint applied and two coats of multi.

Mate called me today to say there was a bump in the ceiling. b*ll***s i say no chance. So iwent to see it tonight and there was a bump/ripple in the wall about 6" long and 2cm thick. Standing proud of the ceiling about 2/3mm :RpS_mad:

Used plazzy trowel in the final trowel up but steel for rest of the application.but it was not visible when i left. Gutted with myself.

Any idea what caused it?

Secondly how do i fix it- looke a little high to cover with easifil. Or would you pva and skim 1foot square in ceiling to cover it up?

Landlord mate. Do my own jobs to save cash. Plaster 2/3 times a month. Is that ok with you boss

Good idea spunky. Hard to tell its all solid to touch no cracking. Is sanding best way forward?

sound. its a plasterboard ceiling right? get your 120 sandpaper out. and some glasses next time. ha only joking gov

Hi windy

like said mate if its proud just sand it down then repaint just make sure when sanding that the plaster is sound should b ok as the ceiling was sound before and not artexed

As above if it's solid sand down, then easifill to smooth it off, sand again with 120grit before painting :RpS_thumbup:

was it the bit that was right above your head when you were trowelling up? you wouldnt see it then....
