Hi, just viewed an old end of terrace ,which needs rendering , I do normal sand and cement work, if heroes for a colour render, will post it here.its hacked off perfectly. I would normally, soak it down ,give ita splatter coat with sbr ,so sand and cement slurry with sbr rather than sbr slurry brushed on.then a scratch with
Waterproof, say 4/1 sand cement, leave it 5 days or so then float with 6/1/1 sand cement lime , all hand applied, lovely big flank wall ,so a bit of work in it, three lifts on the flank. Probably put fibres in it also, isitworth wishing? I'd need one with 8mm holes ..cheers

I don't mind hand balling,once it's organised, once it's on,it's easy enough ish..

Starting a job the same tomorrow. Old dry dash hacked off back to old limestone substrate. My process will be,wash down, rendaid, fill out deep joints/voids 3-1 sand cement plasticizer. Fix on riblathe, scratch coat 4-1 sand, cement, waterproofer. Drydash finish 5/6-1-1 and apply stones.
