i have a ceiling to board and skim . the house was built early 40 s. part of the ceiling is straight forward, but on opposte wall the ceiling drops at an angle. to board is easy but whyere the angle is , th e customer wants a supple curve and not straight edged how can i do this so it looks good cheers daz

Can you bond it out mate ? - Its a bit hit and miss but you can free-hand a radius quite easily and the beauty of Bonding is that it can be scraped to shape once its started to set - once you are happy with the curve you can just skim it

Skim at 45 degree angles one way, then the other. Can be a pain in the arse, but do it on all my loft conversions. Had one where ceiling line dropped twice and he wanted one straight sharp edge, was never gonna happen.

i agree with most of the bit the second bloke said exept the bit near the middle and not at the end

or you can bend the boards
Moisten on both sides at the point you want to bend leave them over hanging something over night at that point.
The next morning you should have bent boards.
only worth doing if you've got the space and time to prepare the day before.

yep feather edge and bonding is the way I would do it....
