Hi All

I would like to have some wrought iron railing replaced along this wall and for it then to be rendered.

Is anyone able to advise please what would be the correct way to repair the wall after the railings have been fitted.

Also what would be the correct render to use on a wall?.Need it to be hardwearing but authentic, so no sharp lines

Thanks for your thoughts

Thanks but this is the original wall it does not need building up but just railings replaced (as they were removed in the war) and rendered
Need advice on best render to use that will not crack and withstand the elements please

Given that you won't be using any render at all and the plasterer will, he's going to like you a lot more if you just let the man get on with it and stop poking about in the job.
