Well there i was today getting seasick on fully extended bandstands cutting a gable up today thinking ime never gonna do this again, like a pound for every time i said that,anyway thinking to myself got another couple of jobs to finish and next week got to go to Spain check my house out and chill out for a week then get a call today can you come to Cairo and organise the unloading and distribution of two container loads of MF and board etc for a museam fit out, well i had to say yeah,.
 
Flinny joking apart the have asked for it and got to bring steel toe caps as well, i will but ime sure its b*ll***s
 
First thing i packed mate, jobs a bit different than i was told, well know it isnt ime still supervising placing the mats from the containers to on site but this outfit is specialised, they set themes up in museams all around the world, basicly modern tech turned into art to what ever you want, the Company are actualy from your
neck of the woods but ile tell you more next week once ive sussed them out, flying out Sunday and back following Sat
 
Well this is the acomadatio www.staybridge.com.eg The job is theme thing about Egyptian history which was being funded by president Murbaracks wife who is now under house arrest so dont know if the job will ever be finished our company have been paid up front.Well what a s**t hole Cairo been to a few but this must be the best the military are still on the streets with tanks as there is still no proper goverment, the locals are realy friendly and wecoming unlile some other Arab countries. My job is organising the Egyptian laboureres uncrating all the interactive stuff and putting in situ the labourers are nice bunch but proper scivers but for £3 a day i dont push them to much. The British team are a good bunch of lads and lasses but not sure about the gaffer seems a bit of a miserable c**t but he does have dysentry so ile give him the benefit of the dought.All the false rock and mountain scenes have been done this is done by spraying Conmix C20 with Putzmeister M25 and then hand carved when gone of a bit. No H&S one bloke has chopped his toe of with a grinder while wearing flip flops another fell down the lift shaft, got to go now breakfast tell you more later.
 
Best £30 i ever spent on a pair of steel trainers to take out the Egyptian labourers droped a crate on my foot today weighing 287 Kilos, very hot today going down to the bar for free beer
 
Finished what we were suposed to do in 5 days in two which made grumpy gaffer look a bit of a t**t as he dont know what to with us now so i started talking bollox about rotors and stats as ive been watching them working so he says to me you know about projection plaster, yes i lied so been spraying all day creating imitation rock peace of piss and good experiance, going down for more free beer
 
General Ashwar walks on the job today, spelling might be wrong, he is the bloke running Egypt at the moment, couldnt believe it, says hello to me and starts talking to my mate,where do you come from, Manchester bla bla bla then they talk about football anyway he says have you seen around Cairo, no my mate says to busy working dont worry he says ile send a car round saturday to chaufer you around, bollox going home saturday cant be done tomorow as its a holy day what a missed oportunity. Anyway grumpy gaffer has given us tomorow of with pay so going to Pyramids,bye for now beer time.
 
Well ime back the only problem is i left my flat and car keys in the hotel in Cairo fcuking agg thats caused me good thing i brought some cheap fags back which should cover the costs:RpS_crying:
 
Yes mate wouldnt say i was disapointed a pyramid is a pyramid and chuffed that ive seen them but the whole set up is abysmal with touts hassling people it would be quite an intimadating experience for most people they left us alone as my mate ended up rolling about the floor with the cab driver who took us there and tried to have us over when he tried to piss up his back i think they got the message to leave us alone.The shame is i found the Egyptians realy nice people but most people who visit the mids only meet the touts and tar them all with the same brush, the touts are just doing a job same as cabbies who are all dodgy all over the world.Got some pics will put them on as soon as JR helps me.
