Hi lads, ive been working in London for about 20 yrs and never really been out of work for more
than a few days. I've been doing domestic for about the last 10 yrs charging about £150/£200/day cash
so im not really expensive as such. Thing is I've only worked about 6 days in the last 6 weeks!!
Whats it like in the rest of the UK??

we've got 1 big job on renovating a huge house, ripped everything out, new timbers, new concrete floors etc. cant do anything til the plans are passed for the extension now. not a bean on elsewhere.

i am on site in yorkshire, i have heard of 1 other site which is headingley leeds (cricket ground). everywhere else has stopped. i am on price dragging £380 after tax, thats how tight/bad things are.

i have not priced that much domestic up lately but did do 1 before xmas at-
2 double bedrooms patch (bonding and borad) and skim
1 long wall on stairs rough and skim + skim a wall on landing
the living room/dining room 22ft x 14ft overboard ceiling, patch and reskim
£1600.00 inc mats inc skip

not heard a a word back

Can't complain really been working for a small builder (midlands) doing insurance work on & off for years he's always got work on anytime of the year, this month he's already had 10 full houses come in fire & flood damaged,
complete rip outs keeps me busy anyway.
Domestic seems to have died off a bit from middle of last year for me but got a few lined up for feb.
So I do a mixture but last year was mainly for him.
The year before was 50/50.
Oh & I got just over £2000 tax rebate & it's definetly PUB TIME ;D
