Painting Krend GP -HELP PLEASE

Hi, I hope someone has the knowledge to help me here. I have 30sq mtrs of Krend GP on several walls including the side of a concrete ramp and a porch. I have only just found out that you have to use a specialist silicon paint on this product, but the whole house that adjoins the new Krend GP has just been painted in ordinary Granocryl masonry paint and it needs to match the existing. I have read that people have sealed the Krend with Zinsser 123 Bullseye primer and then over-painted with a standard acrylic masonry paint, but I have no idea if this will work. Would anyone be able to share their knowledge with me please to overcome this problem, as I can't repaint the whole house again just to match the Krend paint colours. I know this is my fault for not checking before I employed the renderer to put it on, but neither of us realised (he usually does plastering indoors or sand and cement for render) it was only due to it having to be a slim 1 coat that we used this product.
Thanks everyone
John

Who told you that?

Probably k-rend

Probably pushing their silicone paint.

Pretty sure GP should be a normal render, and treat as so.

Depending on how it was finished, might need a prime coat first. Not zinsser really although it is good - overkill for this.

Weather can be a factor for this - not necessarily the people doing it. Sunny or windy days can bring it up slightly different to a cold damp November job

If the current finish is fluffy (scurfy/dusty) to the touch/rub and grains fall, it'll need a stabiliser coat. Then colour paint to finish.

Some just thin the first coat of paint which is not as good if the above is the case. If the finish is 'tight' and you rub your hand over and NO grains/dust falls, paint is fine.

If using granocryl they should have products to suit the prep.

If not (accessible) sandtex' version is good for price and performance. (Toolstation or Screwfix or Dec merchant)
