Painting wet plaster

Does it get painted wet on site. Once did a job and other plasterer told em they can paint straight away with new paints as they breath . I told em not to , they should of listened to me lol. Plus they seem to do it on the d i y programes

I hear theres a non vinyl paint that can go ove it wet
Job we did they painted it next day on other guys advice. My jaw hit floor when i walked in.then we did a onee of their family members and eard em saying dont paint it wet ours is a right mess

Hear mixed views on it. Did a garage conversion on a new build not long ago, and got to know a few of the guys who were still building the rest of the site and they were painting damp plaster. Only 450k houses though!

I painted fresh plaster in February, turned out mint no shelling or peeling, used armstead contractors Matt, a year out of date which have been frozen and thawed a few times

And you wonder why I don’t use you on my high end jobs?

Hand on heart.
I went for a crap once on a kier site came back to a long corridor wall to give it a final cross trowel and the painter was halfway down the wall with his mist coat.
And on another kier job same story but the plumber had a rad hung before the final trowel o_O.

Needs to dry a little to take in the mist coat, but certainly next day. Usually corners aren't dry enough to take it properly same day.
Still amazes me that BG haven't bought out multi in white and magnolia.

I've just been painting a couple of airless plaster sample boards.
I think I'm made for this new caper look at the straight line I've managed to paint and thats after 5 pints of aspalls:birra:.

Permeable paints are ok to paint with straight away with ventilation too , but worth telling normal people to wait till it’s light pink ,

Or grey if it’s dura finish or magnetic :chica:
