istani is it just me and most other local people i no..

they allways coma cross as being SKINT but allway want it cheap and the work 2 be the best !

iv been hearing this ALOT. now im starting to belive it my self!

this guy is beeing sooooooo fussy on every thing i gve him a price of £970 to do a reskim of a house
3 small bedrooms 2 other celings and 2 other hole rooms.gr8 price i know..

day i turned up he wasnt ready i.e he is doin the wireing HIM self ! not yet done..there is stuff in everyroom  like tiles and other flooring stuff..

iv been patchin u on the 2nd day..i come in the next day 2 find he had taken it all out and said he hasnt finished yet! taking beads off walls and stuff!omg

so i went away 4 2weeks to let him catch up..im bk and still he ent reali ready ..asking me 2 do up stairs first ect...he works full time then come 2 the job 2 do all the DIY him self..

keeps sayin it wont crack will it! every time i tell him i ant say 4 sure!

now 2 top it off he 4ort my quote coverd DOT & DABing the bathroom walls out and skiming them,,
when it was clear that i only said i would do the celings! even quote says..he dint even take all the tiles off till a week ago..trying 2 say iv missled him when talking 2 him about how 2 dealk with it!

wot the hell can u do..with work running out i need the money..recon im ganna ava job gettin it as he wants perfect walls...i good but nuffin is perfect!o yea the £960 was labour only i ent a total mug..

Works work mate but if you dont think your gonna get paid dont do the job its better to walk away when you havent put in too much time or the other option is do the work tell him you have done extra work and the moneys more if he dont pay get the hammer out and start taking the walls back off he will soon get the money for you or phone the police ;D
 
i get so fired up when working hard plastering allday im worried i end up giving his the shap end of my trowl...would be a mess..but im sure i could take a section outa the wall..tack him 2 it with a few dry wall screws mesh him up ..bond the wall out..and over skim him..and ask his wife for the money..

i wonder if it would crack..

if not ill dab him 2 the wall first..save on drywall screws ::)
 
a bloke i new said he would never do a job for pakastani customers anymore cause they always pretend they got no money, and when u count ya money its always short, and they always hassle hassle hassle for a discount, he wont even quote for them.
 
the old special price trick needed there ,play em at there own game,say jobs worth £100 and your happy with that ,go in at £140 so youve got 40 quid to haggle with,works every time,think there getting a bargain if you end up having to haggle the full £40
 
To be fair I think we've all had customers like that and not from a particular Country so I don't think it's fair to label it that way.

The guys a w****r. We've all met em. In fact most of the ones I could list are English.
 
i think its a culture thing more than anything else,asians like to argue the toss about money,before ,during and after the job,just there way i think ,in my experince tell him to bo££ocks anything extra costs extra! but give em a cheep option ie one coat,no beads an tell him it will look s**t ,his option!
 
very true this thread but a very touchy subject i will not quote for pakiatani customers anymore, i rung up a job the other day and he tried to get me to hardwall and skim for peanuts.

most asian/pakistanis are not skint i should take a picture of the extension going up next door-but-1 its fooookin huge

chinese built it, roofed it, plastered it the only thins the chinese didn't do was scaffold and windows
 
I quoted a job very cheap £160

A fish tank had been fitted into a wall but now they wanted the wall boarded up and skimmed both sides so Igive them the price and she said I was too expensive..... I said what sort of money were you thinking she said £60

I turned around and walked out didnt say another word to her!!

mate you can bet your last bag a multi that this guy's been thru the yellow pages gettin quotes off other spreads an you must have put in a favourably , theres thrifty folk in all cultures, yeh some more than others granted but these piss takin chancing ***** will always be the worst part of what's otherwise a good little number.sometimes it pays to explain a bbit, some folk are paranoid when it comes to things they aint sure about, scared of getting ripped off possibly cos thats how HIS mind works.....
 
AGAIN 2ay he has tryed to hassel me to dab a whole bathroom out for £50 and said he is skint! i told him no way..i said just cuz u fink i make loads of money dnt meen i got it 2 give away i had 2 go down the line of saying i have 1 kid and one on the way just 2 start shutting him up..hes even tryed sayin were am i takin the rubbih 2...! the rubbish was never my job..the house is gutted and the back garden is a huge skip! wot a c**t...i sorta agreed to do the bathroom for cheap so i can get paid all the money im owed to dateon monday then i will drop the bomb that im never commin bk 2 do that bathroom...get some1 else in for under a £100 to dry line a bathroom and skim it ya ****!
 
yeh man is he on massive tax credits or benefits? if he is i dont feel sorry for him ;)
