Following recent communications and comments placed on the forum regarding the Parex EHI which is a mineral render finish designed for external Wall insulation applications, Parex asked ourselves, Andrew and Ryan Hill of PFT Central in Cheltenham to carry out independent trials using the EHI material as they had not encountered any previous issues with pumping of the material which has been in the market for some 15 years. They asked us to use the same Pragma 12S 9LDdiesel pump and to follow the water content instructions on the bag of 6.9 litres per bag.

We followed the recommended information and the material looked very wet in the pump (certainly far wetter than say a standard one coat render). Though our reaction was to reduce the water content, but we did as instructed and pumped the material over a 30m hose length. The material performed absolutely fine and when applied to the wall was exactly as we would expect the appearance and texture of a pumped material to be.

Because there was no problem with either the pump or the materials, Parex has asked if we can offer this information and advice onto the plasterers forum because as a manufacturer not advertising with the forum they are unable to do so. They have also asked if we could place the attached information that is also available on their web site which provides advice on the use of the EHI material.

It's a dog of a product it slumps on the wall due the composition of it tears when you rule it, over the years we've had nothing but problems, the sooner they change the composition the better lads complained about there bl10 they altered it, it is now a great product. If lads complain about this product maybe they will change it.
Ask any of there reps they will tell you it's not great(unofficially). My lads won't use it, tells its own story and why is it 40% more expensive than monorex.

Will pass your feedback over mate.

There aware of my feedback years ago I spoke to there top brass Nick cheek, Steve keightly when I was involved with there training centre when we sprayed some panels for them.

Hi all I use a lot of it and here is my comments
When sprayed through my g4 I don't have any issues at all it does skin up pretty quick but nothing we can't handle ,but try hand applying it and oh boy your in trouble but in general don't have a problem with it

Lots of different guys using it through various machines now. Feedback seems good apart from Hand application side.

We just ran some tests with them on Diesel machines as there seemed to be issues. All sorted now and we are happy to help anyone who requires it when using a diesel

Hi Ryan put your first post up on general rendering discussions you will get a better response there.

I have sprayed 1000s of m2 with EHI using the PFT g4 and 5 . Even used the ritmo . Never had a problem. You just need to be aware it will stiffen up quick .
