Pricing a job where the customer wants parex finish on his garage to match house but another spread has started it and used a sand and cement scratch coat. Can the parex be applied onto this and what would be the process. Ta

I would mesh it in a tight pass, let it take up for an hour, then a good heavy coat. Leave overnight and I section followed by scrape back.

mate unless you know what mix and additives went in the scratch and how long ago it was done I would prime the walls with microgobetis to just stabalise things. you know your gonna be fine then.

you would be suprised but some scratch coats contain gallons of waterproofer in, bad mix ratio etc lalalala

That's why u bought a machine Andy

To be honest Steve I bought for two main reasons,

1: To spray CPI internally on new builds

&

2: For the then new BG Sprayfinish.

Well sods law says that despite doing hundreds of houses in S&C over the years we've done one since buying the Ritmo and then the problems with the supply of Sprayfinish and the fact you have to always take a palletful at a time means it's just sat there doing nowt most of the time.
That's why I was thinking of trying the Knauf finish but as yet the promised free bags haven't materialised.
