Never used it mate ,but if it is the same as rendaid i would not risk it , as john said ,@ rigsby may know more ,best of luck with it

Yeah that option what be better. Although I think parex spec 5mm to the weight issue.
I have used it a few times now but topped with a bucket coat as spec from them.

If 5mm is the maximum I'm going to be short what's best to build it out to 10mm then over paint?

That's just what parex have advised me monk.
If it was me I would cover over 2 days with mesh in both coats.the paint debate will always be there.
For us spreads we just want to get the job finished

you can put it up to around 8mm but id chance it at 10mm, put a pass on at 5mm key it, then another one once dried out, its lightweight gear anyhow hydrated lime and the binders, are 50% volume. you can put it on at 5mm then put a good 10mm of mono over it, so 2 passes wont do it anyharm.

If you going onto painted at 10mm dub and then coating again with 4mm mesh I would only be finishing that with acrylic.
I wouldn't put a further 10mm mono over it that would be 25mm over paint on a currently rendered wall. No no.

To be fair I wouldn't do what your trying to do without speaking to parex first.

At this sort of thickness over paint, have you considered a mechanical fix.

Parinter sounds great but can often be mis used as an easy option. It has its limitations.

Will parinter go to 10mm got to dub some painted render out first then mask the lot with parinter thanks
Alright Madmonk.
Used painter last week thanks to Andy.M's advice.
5mm is the maximum thickness and at that thickness your meant to use alkaline mesh in the first pass 2/3mm.
You could go to the Parex site and download the tech spec on parinter if that helps mate.
It's good stuff. I know that.

Ok pal cheers

10mm of parinters fine as long as the paint aint flaky and its on in 2 coats of 5mm, but id only be a acrylicing at that thickness as the man jfe says.
