patch repair,roughcast ?

doing a patch repair job for a friend on a textured render. little workers cottage in berkshire north facing wall.

(just realised cant upload photo from my pc as only see option of uploading from url and dont have photo account anywhere)

i only ever did a small amount of smooth rendering in the past as not a strong point.
finish is like a painted pebble dash effect but no pebbles only a few mill thick with lumps.
only a few bits of aggregate in bit i took off upto 3-4 m.m in size,think it maybe sharp sand ?
wet mix flicked on with a brush/trowel ? how do i get/replicate this type of finish ?
 
Try a spatter dash mix of 3 grit sand to 1 cement just put a capful of freeflo in the mix any more and mix it to a slurry and put a 4x3 plasterboard against the wall and dash it you might have to tweek the amount of water so don't make it too pissy to start with . When you put your backing coat on float it up and let it go leather hard before you dash . Make sure you hit it square on you want to hear a slapping noise when you have cast it that's just my opinion would of been better to see photo cos it could of also bin cast onto a wet backing which will change the appearance again Good luck!

what caused the patch ? it might need damp injecting :RpS_scared: and 5-6 teachers to explain how to do it , and 27 spats rules , poles , flexy trowels plus pi5s tools to sort it out, are you going to use 4-1 base mesh with pva, and or , a heavy top coat or just post a pic of a fat bloke? could you just dub it out with a bumming post about cock ? no waterproof just go in dry ?
