Bath stone plinth has been removed. Apprx depth 30mm.

Not sure whether to dub this out with sand/cement? or maybe run a batten top and bottom and fix render board...

Will be scratching in sand/cement after. Silicone FT top.

Patching where bath stone removed.

Sand and cement all the way. For dubbing and scratch. sbr the day before or at least a good damping down

So no worries that it will be 50mm think by the time I've got top coat on?

Obviously I'll do the dubbing out in stages but this is ok?

It will be fine, use sbr in the dubbing and scratch, fibres maybe or even bed a bit of eml in it, render mesh would aid it too.

What's all the white stuff on the bricks, lime mortar ? I,would scud the walls with sbr and sand/ cement slurry. Do the bricks as bubble advised,( I wouldn't of ) but its sound advice, if it were deeper I would of .fix eml over the deep section overlapping by 100mm all around, then scratch it,

That's what I thought commons bedded in...ball ache though was thinking about bedding them vertically, they fit nicely in the gap. Why the need for eml? there will be fibre mesh in scratch.

I'm putting micro over the lot before scratch.
