Patching

Hi guys, just wondering what your different opinions on patching are?? Bonding then a skim? Or just straight in with a deep one coat??

depends how deep... might mix bonding into the finish....

I stick a scoop of cement in the bonding if its a quick council patching and or thick followed by a slightly dirty water skim mix

Skim with a touch of bonding if its semi thick

Proper bond out float and skim if it something your eyes are on or the customer pays/ wants a proper job.

The patch is only as good as what your going to or up against

Dont you love it when there plastic capping is 3 inches proud of the wall

I like it when the Sparks leave there wires hanging out of sockets, I've got a little rule if they don't get folded into the socket and tucked away neatly then I fill the socket with plaster.
