Pebble Dash and Render

Hi Guys,

I just need a bit of information...I looked at a job yesterday to remove the pebble dash on the front side and rear of a end of terrace house and then render.

The rear of the property is 8 meters by 4 meters due to an extension, the side wall 6 meters by 10 meter and the front is 8 meters by 8 meters.

I know how much the scaffolding will be I just need to come up with a price for the job itself.

I'm after rough ideas...it's in the Surrey area. (Leatherhead).

Thanks in advance for all your help.

How long will it take you? How much will materials be? What do you want to earn a day? Add a bit for contingencies - there's your price.

There's not many rules on this forum, but we don't talk prices.

Cheeseburgerbratwurst a square metre.

Dont go for tulipstars a square metre.

Or even condomsvibros a metre sounds fair.

Why would you price a Job you have no idea of doing?
If there was say something small within a big job that you knew what you were pricing fair enough but to ask how to price a render job and you only know what scaffold will cost days
A) your not a spread your joe public looking to see what you should pay.
B) your a chancer who shouldn't be doing the job full stop
Or
C)Your a skimmer who doesn't render in which case you should get someone in who knows what there doing at the very least and get them to price it and sub to you or just give it to them and ask for a drink!

That's like a sparky saying I know I need to rewire a house but where do I start?

If you knew what you were doing you'd know how to price it.

If that's the case then you'd know how long it would take.
So work out what you want a day.
Add materials.
Add profit.
There's your price.

Do a good job make good money.

Quite a tricky job to price if your not used to pricing that sort of work, other things to consider are skips/rubbish disposal? Coverage of pebbles? definitely want a labourer for that aswell.

As said above, if you are experienced you will have an idea of how much material is required.

Your labour costs.
Sand
Cement
Chemicals
Pebbles
Polythene
Tape
Beads
Skip
Breaker hire
Labour

Don't listen to any of the advice been given to you. I haven't a clue what am at 90% of the time I just make it up as I go along. I did a render job a few weeks ago it was OK forgot to put the cement in one mix but it's at the back should be ok. I didn't use a float no need for them l just ruled it give it a quick trowel over and sponge it. I got paid am happy. It was 34 m2 I got 500 cash. ;)
