Hi there got a job coming up with extremely large pebbles to throw much larger than average probably 30mm just looking for any advice as this will be the first time I've thrown anything as large as this cheers
put them on one at a time.
Yeah definitely doing a test panel I'm thinking a stodgy dash coat too these pebbles are stupidly big but have to be usedLarger chippings = thicker bed-coat.
30mm at least a 15mm bed-coat.
I would do a test section first.
30mm may have to put them on one at a time.
Anybody below will need a hard-hat.
Hope you’re well John?I did 20mm once and that was hard enough. I used a 6:1:1 mix and the sand was 4 parts sharp 2 parts soft as it needed to be fatty. Used Febmix too.
It sounds bizarre but as said above you might need to hand apply each stone.
i have seen cottages in Norfolk with what looks like 60mm pebbles, guess that was laid in place.
Yes doing fine thanks.Hope you’re well John?
