Hi all
I have an issue in my rental flat which has been diagnosed as penetrative damp. The correct fix (basically tanking half the flat) will require the flat to be empty so I am looking for a temp fix for now and then renovate when tenants move out. I am told it is not harmful
I have uploaded some pictures. My first thought is to put up foil backed plasterboards everywhere which is a solution that Im told works, but I was wondering if its better to replaster? I assume it would need to be special waterproof plaster (or something like that) but just posting here hoping for some feedback from the experts.
The main issue is in the hallway (both sides) which is around 4.5m long. There is also some smaller issues around the bay window in the bedroom
Thanks a lot for you help. If any traders are interested in taking the job on as well please msg me directly. The property is in London SW18
Thanks
Tony
