Phenolic and polystyrene insulation

Hey chaps, got to board out a room with 40mm gyproc thermaline super board (phenolic) and 22mm thermaline basic(poystyrene). They say to use normal board adhesive and the customer does not want boards to be fixed mechanically.
Just want to know if using board adhesive on these insulated boards is as straight forward as dabbing normal 12mm boards.Any tips n tricks then?

you need to use the correct adhesive. lafarge used to do two, a standard board adhesive and a universal, now they just do the universal. you will also need to mechanically fix the board once the adhesive has set, 4/5 fixings in each board. one in each corner and one in the middle. this is a precaution incase of fire. the boards tend to be curved instead of straight, if you score the back with a knife in a grid formation it should help straighten them out.
