Planning a garden shed - multi rend board, can i use s&c

Hi everyone,

I am doing a DIY project to build a garden shed once the winter is over, and giving it a rendered finish look.

I have minimal experience from doing a small amount of sand and cement rendering in my garden, but nothing else, so would like to do sand and cement again if possible. Also another reason for sand and cement is I would like to be able to use the same paint over it as on my existing render.

My plan is to build the frame, then osb, then cover in membrane, then battens, then render carrier board. But the only boards that my local vendor stocks are multi rend boards, which are apparently not suitable for sand and cement.

*The question is: is there a way I can use sand and cement render on this project?* Perhaps cover the render carrier boards with a mesh or rendolath or something? Any ideas greatly appreciated!
