plaster going off quick

ive been skimming out this loft conversion the last two days but today this bag of plaster seemed to be going off in no time today...i was skimmng out of my bucket and the water wasnt dirty at all i mixed it with....any ideas?

I've been struggling with board finish on a loft type place with all the trusses tacked and skimmed, i thought it was going quick but when we weighed up the time, it's just taking longer to put on and consequently seems to be going quick. Sorry mate

Did you check the datse on the bag of skim?

The gear my builder gets from his supplier generally goes off quicker than the gear I get, I put it down to bad housekeeping and the plaster not stored right.
