Ive been plastering for about 4 years now and in that time ive just mixed with an old SDS drill.Im now looking at buying a good Mixer but im unsure which is the best to buy ,any ideas lads?

There are quite a few on the market and i dont want to pay a fortune for a crap one so thought you lads could point me in the right direction, cheers.

as church says owt german ,got a bosch grw mixer ad it for about 8 years never let me down its mixed everything and still going strong

as i've said in before, always go for refina but search eibenstock on the internet, they are the makers of refina mixers before they are rebranded, tend to get them cheaper.

had my mega mixer for about 5-6 years and never missed a beat, mind you recently it has been whistling me a tune as its mixing..... time for a service me thinks.

I have the same mixer as my mate but his vibrates a bit more than mine when mixing it gives you a bit of a lob on when you use his :)

I got a makita, dont no the model its the one with the big stell frame around it...nothing to rave home about, but works well.It takes a right pasting and keeps going and going.I cant really fualt it.

toolstation.com have a mixer in the catalogue for £96. 1600w 110v or 240v. worth a try i suppose if u dont want to fork out.

Picked up one of these when the refina fell off a scaffolding and smashed, Must say for what it is it's a little peach.

Thats what happens when you clean the whisk with a hammer it bends it slightly.

main reason i try not to spend silly money if i can get a cheaper version that will do the same job... not really false economy when you consider snap-on tools dont replace your spanners if you lose em.... middle of the road does me these days... at the end of the day theyre a heavy duty motor connected to a metal gearbox and a switch with a variable potentiometer....
i reckon these days parts are available from a multitude of sources, i wouldnt be surprised if most reasonable gear uses the same parts and then its all down to branding....
