Hi, I have an insurance job which is to replaster a patch of old 24" stone wall internally. I was wondering which is the best plaster for the job, it has to be roughed out and skimmed. I thought about 'Limelite' but I know this is a t**t to work with, so my concern is if I use Bonding, I dont want any salt to come through later on.What do you think ?

notorious for damp is a stone wall mate... only way to treat em for damp is injection mortar, nightmare to use and not really guaranteed to work...
so with that in mind i'd be looking at 6:1:1 sand : cement : lime with integral waterproofer/plasticiser/retarder/salt neutraliser followed by an 8:1:1 of same...
skim with multi or boardy..
never used limelight meself mate so cant comment on its effectivness but many do swear by it..
p.s. for f'cks sake dont use bonding...
or even hardwall unless your 100 percent sure theres absolutely no sign of any damp whatsoever...
or even d+d for that matter...

I would use limelite or renovating plaster although s and c is cheapest.
