Plaster Query

Hi all,

Have had stained wallpaper for the best part of a year now and decided to take the wallpaper off to see what I'm dealing with underneath (see attached photos).

What would you folks suggest? Fill the holes and make good or remove all of it and replaster?

It is in a living room so would likely just paint over.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to find out why the old wallpaper was stained, before you make plans to redecorate the wall?
